The start of Warrior Run is just over 2 weeks away!
While we are emphasizing the Find Your Path aspect of the event this year…
IT IS STILL A COMPETITION
We will have prizes for the non-school teams with the most members and the most money raised. Here are the current leaders:
- Truepoint Warriors – Most Members
- Family Love Michael – Most $$ Raised
It’s time to recruit members (furry friends count too – see below) and raise money for your team. You will be able to add people, pets and donations to your team through the end of the race period (October 10th).
And for you speedy people, awards will be given to the top overall male and female, top Mariemont male and female and the top 3 in each age division. Male/female runners: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
This year your official time will be based on self-reporting (based on the honor system, of course) of your time for 5 kilometers (3.1 miles). You must run the entire 5K at one time to be eligible to win a prize. You must report your time between 9/26 and 10/10 in the comment section below.
Feel free to leave comments below with questions and remember to share your path here too.
School teams, don’t forget to recruit for your teams as well! You can find more information about how your school can win the trophy and a Skyline party at the school challenge pages on our website:
And, exciting breaking news:
We are now offering pet registrations!!! Register your pet for $10 and they will receive their own printable race “bib” and a Warrior Run collar tag. If you are one of the individual winners above and your registered favorite non-human companion runs with you, they will get a special prize too. Pet entries will count toward team prizes so recruit some 4 legged friends and set up their own fundraising pages!! Everyone loves pet pictures so be sure to share your buddy (pre-race, during the race or post-race) on our social media (tag @1N5.org.stopthestigma and use #FindYourPath + #WarriorRun2020 ) or post them in the comments below.
