Ready! Set! Go!!
The 2020 Warrior Run has begun. We are usually so busy on race day that I don’t have a chance to do the 5K. A silver lining of this virtual 5K, for me, is that I can actually participate. And, to make up for a few I’ve had to miss, I’ve planned a couple 5K’s with friends and family where we’ll gather for a private COVID compliant run/walk and a little post party (check out our Warrior Meal partners in my last blog). But, my favorite path is a solo hike (with my new pup). I can be mindful, exercise my body and carve some “me time” out of normally busy days. It won’t be my fastest 5K but slowing things down and focusing more on my path to health is my goal. I’m sure I’ll do a faster 5K in the next two weeks but speed isn’t my thing so I may or may not enter my time into our system.
